HR foam or cold-cure foam (PUR)

Foam featuring high elasticity and flame retardant properties

HR foam, also called cold-cure foam, compared to conventional polyether foam offer higher elasticity and lower permanent compressive strain fatigue. Therefore, they are particularly suited for being processed into high quality mattresses and seat cushions.

The product range is completed by flame retardant types. These foam types are hardly inflammable and have been developed for the high demands of institutions, object stores and vehicle construction, where international stringent fire safety standards are to be met.

Comfort foam for mattresses

EvoPore foam is made of polyurethane foam, incorporating many years of experience. Due to modern production methods and the use of special raw materials, the positive aspects of polyether and HR foam are optimally combined. In addition, EvoPore foam is very flexible, of high elasticity and is less sensitive to influences affecting sleeping comfort (bed climate). By processing irregular pore structure, deliberately controlled during the production process, exceptionally good comfort properties are resulting, particularly appropriate for the use of manufacturing high-quality mattresses.

Viscoelastic foam

Viscoelastic foam differs from conventional foam by a distinct viscoelastic behaviour. The reaction of the foam material is extremely dependent on the speed of the acting forces. On slow force effect, the foam reacts with viscose behaviour, whereas on shock-like force effects with absorbing behaviour.

The viscoelastic behaviour depends on temperature and humidity. Therefore, compressive strain tests are always to be carried out under equal conditions. The values are measured at standard climatic conditions at 23°C, 50% relative humidity (DIN 50014) after 24 hours’ storage at these conditions. Other physical measurements, usually applied for other foam materials (such as compression hardness), are only applicable in a very limited way for viscoelastic materials, and comparative figures should be used with appropriate caution.
